The green and yellow façade of our boutique hotel, la Cremerie du Glacier, contrasts with the traditional wooden chalet. The main house of la Cremerie du Glacier was built in 1925 in the typical Chamonix bourgeois house style. The original owners ran it as a bar and a holiday cottage which catered for holiday makers and hikers from the Bossons Glacier, which was much closer back then. It was already a sporting destination as it was possible to rent crampons for hiking on the Bossons Glacier.
La Cremerie du Glacier has been renovated since then and today offers a charming alternative to the classic hotel accommodation available in Chamonix. The six bedrooms of the main building have been refurbished to create a colourful and warm ambiance with pastel coloured walls, parquet flooring and wooden paneling, and brightly painted furniture. The bedrooms for two to four people each have their own bathrooms and come equipped with comfy duvets, sheets and towels. La Cremerie du Glacier rooms take their names from the neighbouring mountains and flowers. Les Gentianes and l’Aiguillette are ideal for families or groups of 3 or 4 friends. The double rooms; les Lupins, le Brévent, le Gouter ou les Drus, are perfect for couples. These bedrooms can also be re-arranged with two single beds. The rooms are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
A sitting area is available for guests to relax after skiing and can be transformed into a meeting room for seminars. La Cremerie du Glacier also has a room for storing and drying ski and mountaineering equipment.
